The Nuclear Age Peace Foundation initiates and supports worldwide efforts to abolish nuclear weapons, to strengthen international law and institutions, and to inspire and empower a new generation of peace leaders. Founded in 1982, the Foundation is comprised of individuals and organizations worldwide who realize the imperative for peace in the Nuclear Age. The Nuclear Age Peace Foundation is a non-profit, non-partisan international education and advocacy organization. The Santa Barbara County Chapter of UNA-USA is one of 170 UNA-USA chapters located across the United States. The Santa Barbara County Chapter was founded in 1947. The mission of the Chapter is to educate the local community about the United Nations, enhance U.S. participation, and develop policy statements regarding intonations issues, which are of critical importance to U.S. citizens and especially Santa Barbara county residents. |
